During their first meeting, Mr. Brothman disputed Mohammed's leadership position, questioned the amount of money he had raised, and eventually critiqued the manner in which he cared for his customers. He did this by using the perception of power that Mohammed had. I'm not sure why Mr. Brothman came in like way, but I can only assume he intended to get everyone's attention as soon as he walked in. Even more so considering that he had just recently been there and it did not seem that he had taken the time to communicate with Mohammed before before. Or by making use of any recommendations, facts, or/and relating on Mohammad's history that would cause Mohammad to think in the same manner that he does. If he had taken the road that went in the middle, he would have gathered more information (proof) about Muhammad and would have been able to make a more favorable first impression.
