Activity 2:

Some failures in service were caused by a build-up of static electricity (due to electromagnetic

hysteresis) and other failures by ther generation of heat (due to elastic hysteresis).

Review both types of hysteresis for the materials in activity 1, discussing the level of risk for the

above-mentioned failures and particularly for the conditions in service of wind turbine blades.
