7. Briefly define the problems that can occur because of concurrent processing that are addressed by resource locking.

There are 3 problems associated with it: Dirty Read: Uncommitted data is read in a dirty read. We also start an application to read the same row with the same uncommitted data if a specific row is modified by another running application but has not yet been committed. In this context, we refer to it as a dirty read. Non repeatable read: When a transaction reads the same row twice but obtains different data each time, it does a non repeatable read. Assume, for instance, that transaction 1 reads a row. Transaction 2 makes an update or deletion to that row and commits the change. Rereading the row causes transaction 1 to get different row data or learn that the row has been removed. Phantom Read: A phantom read happens when a transaction retrieves a set of data twice and another transaction that is committed in between adds or removes new rows from the set.
