Assessed assignment:

1. Select a global chef currently active in

humanitarian, social, cultural, or

sustainability activities. Please consider

chefs working from your

birth/home/ancester countries (places

you have a connection with in addition to

Canada) as well. Who are they? Where are

they from? Where do they work? What do

they do in activism?

2. Explore the work they do in their

chosen activity and do an overview of

their philosophy that drives/motivates

them in that work.

3. Outline a culinary philosophy and

professional mission statement of your

own. Lay some ground work first bý

asking a few questions.

a. What issues in the culinary world

inspire you to become active?

Narrow it down to one issue.

b. How can you see yourself

becoming active in that issue?
