In the experiment, the EMG machine was recording electrical activity of the muscle during rest, slight contraction, or forceful contraction events for a comprehensive analysis. EMG data measures the voltage difference between recording site and the reference site. The machine measures the electrical impulse in terms of microvolts and is linearly related to the extent of muscle contraction. It records the voltage amplitude in proportionality to the amount of muscle contraction and depicts results (Jarque et al., 2021).
